Twenty dollar curd knife?
« on: October 04, 2013, 01:17:09 AM »
Can anyone tell me if there's anything more "special" about the curd knife on New England Supply site? Rather expensive considering the cost elsewhere. Just that one item too. Everything else on the NES site seems fairly reasonable.

Also - as a newcomer, can anyone recommend a standard knife that most folks already have to do this until curd knife is ordered?

Thanks!

I also use a stainless steel spatula.

I looked at the Mad Millie cheese knife when I saw it in a shop, and it was similar enough (and shorter and less robust) than the 12" salmon knife I use as a bread knife that I also use that sometimes if I need an extra-long reach. Well sterilised, of course.
