The word is out on cheesemaking

Well, our little clandestine hobby has been outed to the rest of the world.  There was a full page article and recipes in our local newspaper's (Contra Costa Times) food section regarding cheesemaking. They had recipes for Ricki Carroll's Mozzarella.

Also, January 2009 Gourmet magazine had a very detailed article about making Mozzarella (not the 30 minute type).  Lots of good pictures on the process.

Hmmm, so maybe we'll get more members in CFO?

Frankly I'm surprised there aren't more, given that she has sold over 170,000 copies plus lots of other books on making cheese and lots of excellent books on cheese.

Maybe people just don't search on google, live, yahoo etc for Cheese Forum?

I definately have seen an influx of people interested in cheese making. You know it could be good or could be bad. Anthing that gets attention can either way. If it gets good attention they might make it easier to produce and sell artisan cheeses, more companies making equipment for big scale home producer, cheaper RAW milk prices. Then the bad would be the complete reverse.

Contra Costa Times?
That's where I used to live.  In Antioch.

Anybody I mention cheese making to, they look at me weird.
