ideas for automatic cheese stirrer
« on: February 21, 2013, 04:37:22 AM »
I was thinking of different methods of making a motorized stirrer.  It can get really tiring stirring an asiago for what seems like forever.  Has anybody had any success making one.  I was thinking of buying one of the motors that are used to spin disco balls, it is one of the only motors that I can find that spins slowly enough (it spins at 3 rpm), but I worry it would not have enough torque.  It would be great though, because I could mount it to a electrical box and suspend it over the pot using a fan mount.  Any thoughts or recommendations?
