Hi from the UK
« on: October 27, 2013, 02:25:36 PM »
What an awesome forum. I'm a farmer/ cheese maker from UK. Milking 500 goats  and making cheese. I currently make about 15 different cheeses from fresh curd to 12 month old alpine style. I keep experimenting  and find that the best part. Went to Bra in Italy selling cheese and had a blast. Hope to come to the states some time. Happy to show anyone around if you are in somerset UK. Its going to take me weeks to read all these posts but already finding lots of good info. Here's an article about one of our cheeses to wet your appetites . http://www.sfgate.com/default/article/Katherine-is-no-cheddar-but-it-s-sublime-4908051.php . This is just a short note to say hi. I'm off to read more

Welcome to the forum!

Katherine sounds delicious. It has certainly whetted my appetite. I'm off to slice some cheese. :P

Bread, beer, wine, cheese...it's all good.

Your cheese looks fantastic.  I'm jealous!  Wish I could produce a cheddar that looks that good and that tastes as good as it looks.  Still trying....  All the best, and I'll come and visit when I am next in the West Country...
