great article on goat dairy bottom lines
« on: April 27, 2014, 08:36:44 PM »
Check out this article about Kinder and other mini goats.  Lots of interesting info that pertains to bottom lines, feeding and health, breed choice, etc.  I'm happy to say that I'm switching to Kinder goats this year.  They'll be kidding next year.  Still waiting for the my new little herd to arrive.  I have bought 4 doelings and 3 bucks.  Yes, that is a lot of buck for such a small herd but the genetic range is helpful for me and this breed hardly exists in New England so it's going to be helpful to pay transport once and not need to for quite some time.  I'll attach a couple of photos of the little ones coming.
