I made this a year or so back, part of a web competition.
It was a nineteenth century cheesecake according to a recipe in a Victorian cookbook. The idea behind it was pretty simple - cheese curds, with added spices and flavours, in a pie pastry. Very nice conception: it gets sweetness not just from a spoonful or so of sugar, but from lemon juice, currants, and of course the lactose in the curds.
Anyway, just thought I'd share it with y'all
The full recipe can be found here:
http://myblogs.informa.com/jvc/2013/03/14/how-i-cooked-a-victorian-dish-and-lived-to-tell-the-tale/ As it's from a Victorian cookbook a little bit of guesswork may be involved but it's basically pretty simple.
