I have a Gruyere aging and I am not sure what my rind should look like.
The book (200 Easy homamade....) says it should have a rind of variours colours, I read on thread that said orange or red...
I did a google search of immages most look a muted brown. Is that what the reds and orange age to become or?
I do have'brown' spots that are coming on the rind and do not wipe off, so i have been using a knife blade to scrape them off, but should I be leaving them is this normal?
I dont want any one sick or the will never trust me again lol, but they will eat it the first time blindly trusting me so...
PLEASE anyone that knows or even thinks they know I would appreciate the help. Right now I am going from nothing so any news is good news!
