American Cheese Society meeting in Sacramento
« on: August 02, 2014, 05:13:23 AM »
I spent the day at the American Cheese Society festival of cheese in Sacramento! My "job" as a volunteer was to help "cut the cheese"! Actually, I was cutting many fantastic varieties of cheddars from all over the country! There were well over 1,000 varieties of cheeses of all kinds at this event, and many friendly cheese heads. At any rate cheese did stop appealing to after a while. But I think I may have eaten too much cheese once again.... And I brought home about 30 # of cheese that was being given away to the volunteers. My plan is to share with family and friends, and to vacuum seal some and leave it in the cave until it can be used. All in all, a pretty nice day!!
Next year it is in Rhode Island!  Might have to travel.....

I don't know what's funnier "ate too much cheese... AGAIN" or "Bringing home 30LBS of cheese". I had a laugh, because I can associate so well with those two statements. I think we all can!

Must have been a nice experience. I'll probably do the Rhode Island one. Sounds like fun. Only about 6 hours away from where I am.
