In search of Cheese Trier
« on: January 13, 2015, 03:17:07 PM »
Hello! I am a beginning cheese maker on a budget. I've been making an appenzeller that is about a foot in diameter, assuming I need a cheese trier that is about 6 inches long. I've looked online and all the triers are over my budget. Any idea where to find affordable cheese triers? Anyone out there have extra triers they want to sell ?
Thanks

A cheap apple corer will work just fine. You don't need the fancy, expensive stainless ones.

That is a great idea! Wondering however if any apple corers would be long enough to reach the center of large wheels.

Even expensive triers don't go all the way to the center of a "big" wheel.
