A cheese as well for you. I think it's smart to scrape, wrap and store in the fridge based on your description.  Even if you leave rind on in the absence of air the ammonia smell should go away.

Yeah I think am going to scrape of the rind and wrap it back up. See what it taste like in a few more weeks!! thanks

Looks like it may have dried out too much.  Could be due to the size.  Thickness wise, that is.
