Happy new year, failed mozzarella, pizza!
« on: January 05, 2017, 09:33:08 AM »
Hello all. I hope everyone's new year is blessing them thus far. My girlfriend and I tried to make mozzarella using the method where you put the curds in really hot whey to make them stretchy. Something clearly went wrong and half of our cheese disintegrated and the other half looked like ricotta. We put it on pizza and celebrated our time together regardless. Here are some pics (warning-food porn ahead)

It tasted like ricotta or extra mild mozzarella. Pizza was amazing

Of course you can post failures here - I think Boofer was just showing you that you are in good company, that we all have our failure stories to tell. Well, except for me; I've never had a cheese failure, or any other failure whatsoever. Really! And I'm incredibly humble AND truthful as well ...

Hey, Doc, what he said...Andy, that is!  ;)

I referenced the failures thread in case you weren't aware of its existence and wanted to further bare your soul. A)

I forgot that one. Would love to have seen a video panning from the slow-mo spilling to the horrified look on your face. :D
