My new curd harp
« on: February 17, 2017, 04:28:38 PM »
I just finished building my new curd harp.  It's made of hand polished stainless bar ( I polished it myself ).  I used 80 lb single strand fishing line.  The handle is not welded but shoved in a piece of milk transfer hose so I can take it apart to clean.

Was it difficult to make?

Not bad just drilled some holes and bent it.  It is 8 in wide and 17 in long with a 5 inch handle.  I would suggest buying the stainless polished because now I know how to polish stainless steel non of my cheese equipment it safe.  I want it all to shine.

Hi there Chetty,

Nice work.
To polish your stainless use few pads starting at 300grid up to 1200 and you will end up with a mirror finish!

All the best
