Latteria anyone?

Has anyone here made a Latteria?  There is a creamery in Texas (Lira Rosa Creamery) that specializes in this Italian hard cheese but I can't find any reference to it on the forum.  The recipe I saw used skim or low fat cow's milk and curd cut in small rice-sized pieces which sounds like hard grana but it was described as a "table" cheese.
