Read a lot of thread on this for a good and cheap vat, my mother used a crock pot from Toastmaster its a nice 18 qt, with double bac, and i fund that the thermostat its pretty accurate to maintain below 100 F and more, and its cheap you can get that on e-bay for 69$ CND dollars, i love the fact that this crock pot is almost square and let me some room for cheddering techique like in a real vat, i post some pic to let you see my result of the two first cheese a made, the curd cheese is excelent and squeaky (lolol just eat the pound i made the first day) , the other on not look bad too but im no a specialist yet (lolol) and try to avoid to eat before aging hehehe the hard part of cheese making
