How to use the forum's PERSONAL MESSAGING system . . .
« on: September 25, 2009, 12:53:50 PM »
This forum's software includes a Personal Messaging system where you can send a text message, links etc just like a normal forum post to another person or persons.

The easiest way to access that system is mouse click on "My Messages" in the top menu bar.

While useful at times, there are two downsides:
  • Most importantly, information exchanged cannot be seen by others, if this information is useful, it is a loss to other members.
  • You cannot attach files like pictures, word documents etc like to a normal forum post.

I find the PM system useful for asking someone to reply/advice me on a forum post that she/he may not have noticed.

For those who ask, other members PM's cannot be read by the webmaster/administrator . . . John.
