A Pretty Personalized Follower
« on: October 23, 2009, 12:53:04 PM »
Years ago, a friend gave me a set of very hard, ceramic coasters that have a bouquet of flowers embossed on the top.  I love them, but rarely used them.  Well, I just found out that the fit perfectly in my 4" molds!  I'm going to take off the cork backing on them and use them a personalized followers!!!  I hope they make a, "nice impression."

You can use the mirror to see what it will look like. Debi that reminds me of a butter mold I made for my cow's butter. I had to carve her name Elsie into the wood backwards and it was a job.I had to use a mirror to get it right.

Who cares?  It's just a bunch of flowers...no lettering involved here.

I tried it and I have discovered that the design looks better when the coaster is below the mold, facing up...more pressure, I guess.

Carter, a member here, makes plastic followers with a reversed pattern in them.  Very classy finish.

Cindy would love to see some pics of the cheeses that you have been trying.

Tea ~ I will do that.  Just as soon as I can wrestle away the camera from the DH.  That may take some doing.   :-\
