Yes the press arm only sits in the slot, its not attached.  I'm going to refine it some in the coming days/weeks but it works.

This cheese is quite a bit smaller than my farmhouse cheddar, I guess its because of the effectiveness of the press.  You can maybe see the shape of the curds on the surface of the cheese, seems to have knit together well even after I had to break it up twice due to the salt issue.
