New UK Cheesemaker
« on: November 25, 2009, 03:25:21 PM »
Hi There,

A new virgin cheesemaker here in the South of England. I got given a starter kit for soft and hard cheeses, plus the Ricki Carroll book last week for my birthday, so I am raring to go!

I'm already a craft brewer and a keen cook, so I enjoy making my own gourmet treats - and as I've always loved cheese, it seemed like a natural extension.

Anyway - I have a local goat farm about a mile up the road, so I'm going to nip up there and buy some fresh goats milk and have a crack at making some chevre tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Alasdair
