A cheesemakers dream????
« on: January 20, 2010, 12:47:12 PM »
Saw this on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3in1-Digital-pH-Meter-Tester-Thermometer-Hygrometer-C0_W0QQitemZ330395571587QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Pet_Supplies?hash=item4ced1c5583

Looks like an answer to everyone's prayer. I particularly like the automatic pH correction for temperature.

Might get me one!

Cheers,
Alan

Looks interesting, but plastic-coated electrodes? Seems like that would affect the accuracy.

meter: $52.90 AUD = $48.1739 USD
shipping: $14.90 AUD = $13.5854 USD

The price is pretty low. I kind of follow the "you get what you pay for" theory. Still, at that price, who wouldn't be curious?

Let's ferment something!
Bread, beer, wine, cheese...it's all good.

Be careful not to waste your money on unreliable pH meters, you can "waste" $500 easy and then wish you got a decent one in the beginning -- believe me.....
