US DOE Rebates On Old Appliances Starting Feb 12, 2010

So, my old fridge works -- I plugged it in this morning, and it is cooling. Let's see how well it cools, though.
Here's something I came across -- the DOE is offering rebates on old appliances. This program just started Feb 12th; here is a link to Sears with your states' info:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12605_NB_zPage
So, even if this old fridge works, I can actually get 50 for it (if I buy a new one) and not lose money. And maybe even save some on energy costs.

Well, that's great if you need a new one, but for those of us who want an older one to re-make into a cheese cave, it will take a lot of them out of commission.
