Learning how to make cheese in France

Does anyone know of a small, local cheese farm in France that would want to take on a volunteer for about a month? I have some free time this summer and would love to learn how to make handmade artisanal cheese and help out, preferably in exchange for food/board. Please let me know if you have any leads!

Great idea but sadly I don't know any.

But there are a couple of big cheese making supply stores in France in our listing, you could phone them and then follow up with resume and ask for leads/ideas.

Have you read American Farmstead Cheese? In the story about Vermont Shepherds farm they mention a British cheese guide that hss all the names and addresses for the farmers and the facilities. the people from Vermont used it to find the French people who taught them how to make a proper French sheep's cheese... That could be a starting point
