Where to buy "Cultured Buttermilk"

Hello!
I found multiple sites online who state that buttermilk can be used as a meso starter.
Does anyone know where to find "cultured buttermilk" in Vancouver? Is it the same as the large name brand buttermilk available at large grocery stores?

Yep, unless you go to some really fancy or rural farm shop where they make cultured butter and save the whey from it, storebought buttermilk is cultured just about everywhere in the world.

Usually comes in liter cartons but both Safeway and Wholefoods sell it in half liter cartons. And Wholefoods sells half liter bottles of Avalon Dairy buttermilk which I prefer. But maybe it's because it comes in a glass bottle that makes it seem a superior product. Probably get it at Famous Foods on Kingsway as well.
