I looked at Foodsavers on Amazon and the reviews were pretty bad. Any suggestions of one with which people are having good luck?

I bought my Foodsaver V2830 on EBay for under $65. It has been a marvelous piece of equipment. The newer Foodsavers with the automatic sealing sensor may be where the poor reviews are coming from. My unit is manually-operated and it works great. You pay extra for the automatic convenience, but they reportedly don't work as well as the manual units.
