Howdy, OK so here's an event that was in the past, goofy bunch of people jumping off top of hill like lemmings to chase a cheese wheel. Video on
YouTube
.

OK and here's some info on Wikipedia.

And on BBC UK, now they are calling it a Festival.

And here's the "official" website.

People want to hurt themselves, go right ahead!

Wow ... they love cheese there.  First prize is the cheese!!!
Excerpt from that site:
Photos of paramedics and people landing head over heels!
"
Christopher Anderson, 20, was stretchered off
wearing a neck brace on a spinal board after hurting
his back as he finished head over heels.

"My Cousin Chris Anderson Won The 1st Race this year and to put everyone right, he is 20"
"As he flew to the bottom his mother, my sister and myself jumped the sideline to meet him at the bottom. We tumbled down to make sure he was Ok as he lay unconscious.
We are all very proud of Chris, this is the 4th Cheese he has won Year after Year."

Luckily I have had the fortune to go watch it, but I certainly wouldn't give it a go; lots of broken bones dislocations etc. it's fun to watch though  ;)
