FYI - Hamilton Beach humidifier with humidistat is now Graco.

On a bead to find a solution to humidity control.  Especially so, now, since my first hope - the little nano ultrasonic inside my refrigerator, controlled by either a time cycle or controller of some sort - has crapped out after only a few days usage.

Cartierusm mentions a Hamilton Beach model with integral humidistat.  The model has been discontinued, but succeeded by Graco, at $89.  Just another option, if anyone is interested.

Caveat:  All the while I was looking for a means to obtain consistently high humidity, I was insouciantly ignorant as to its true costs.  (Warning: PDF).  Who'da thunk?

Guess the only danger would be if I wanted to crawl inside my refrigerator for any sustained period of time.  Which, if all goes well, I will be compelled to do. ;D
