Cheese Making Kit - Accidentally Stored At Room Temperature

Hi all,
I was given a cheese making kit as a present which was bought for me sometime before Christmas. Problem is I've only just had a good look at it and didn't realise the starter (MA400, freeze dried) and rennet (vegetarian) needed to be kept below a certain temperature. So for the past few weeks it's been sitting at room temperature - does anyone know whether it will still be usable? Is it worth trying?
Thanks,
Mark

yes, you're fine, but use within 6 months if at all possible. After an exposure like that, the bacteria will survive, but their long-term viability is really affected.
rennet should be fine, might need to use a touch more.
