Wonderful blog, fiddletree!  Subscribed, cheese to you, looking forward to more.  Robiola is likely tops on my wife's list, so can't wait to show her.  Congrats again, best fortune ahead.

Thanks! I have a fun life, even if I'm unemployed.  Poor but happy!

Excellent blog...I feel like I'm there!

You have a natural, fluid manner of writing. Very enjoyable.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Looking forward to your continuing adventures.

Back in 1993 my family shared a moment at the See Hotel in Rescia. That's at the very top end of Italy.
It was bitterly cold in February, but the memory is sweet.

Let's ferment something!
Bread, beer, wine, cheese...it's all good.

I'm sure you already know how incredibly lucky you are!  I'm so happy for you.  I traveled quite a bit in my younger days & also moved (albeit only across the US) for love.  The backdrop of yours is more beautiful & I will be living vicariously through your adventures!! :D

Thanks for the kind feedback, y'all!  It's a bit nerve-wrecking at times to put myself out there, but it makes me appreciate where I live.

Which reminds me, something that might interest people here, and which might warrent a thread of it's own.  I'm co-organizing a culinary/wine tour of Valle d'Aosta, Italy (where I live), which will include visits to dairies and a cheesemaking lesson at the mountain-top goat farm I wrote about in my last post.  Lots of other fun stuff, too.    Will take place in October, and I believe there are still some spots left (two different weeks, max 8 people each).  Here is the link for "Battle of the Queens: Rustic foods & wines of the Italian Alps"
