Before I spend 20 minutes spilling everything I just want to make sure I have someone to co-op with.
Im redesigning my wine press which consists of a SS drain pan, 120L HDPE perf basket and a 5 ton hydraulic bottle jack.
I cracked my oak frame by pushing it beyond its yeild so im designing a proper steel frame from galvenized steel (perhaps powder coated, im still not sure of the costs involved).
I got the overall profile dimentions calculated but unsure about the base and how to deal with the base deflection which may collapse inward the drain pan.
I suspect the example design used a plate welded to the base to deal with it but Im not sure how to calculate the dementions required to "deal" with responce force,particularlly thickness.
