From US based online store ThermoWorks.com bought their low cost digital calibrateable and two low cost calibrateable analog thermometers for cheese cave and double as back up for making cheese thermometers as they have stems.

So far looks great, 5" stem, plus holder, 25-125F range, USD6.00 each plus shipping. They also have higher temp range and longer stem models.
