Happy Thanksgiving Holiday to all our American friends!

Thanksgiving is a very big family oriented holiday in US, as Canadians we celebrate and had Turkey back in October (Canada's is earlier as crops come in earlier), thus for the long weekend, as many friends but no relatives here we drove 7 hours to New Orleans (also called NOLA here as LA is the state abbreviation) for a short holiday and came back via Houma and New Iberia.

Turns out that Thankgiving is also the Bayou Classic in NOLA, an American Football game of two mainly black colleges, so Parade and Battle of the Bands (sold out) in Astrodome, was lots of fun and everywhere was very busy! Snaps below (none of bars or Bourbon street), head still hurting a bit from Friday night.

When our two daughters come back from college in Canada for Christmas they want to make a mini holiday to NOLA again for old times sake as they lived here in Houston for 6-7 years, so anyone have things todo type ideas for next trip and New Years?
