I purchased a few nice aged Vermont cheedars while on vacation there a few years ago. They were wrapped in foil then dipped in wax. I opened one up on New Years Eve and the foil began to disolve into the cheese. I cut away the foil but I was a little concerned.

Alumium causes alzheimers, but it's in everything, deoderant for instance. I don't think a little will hurt you but I wouldn't buy that cheese again.
