Hi everyone.
I have been lurking around for a few weeks and decided to join a few days ago.
my name is Harold I live in south eastern Idaho near the Grand Tetons.
I work as a carpenter/welder/millwright/mechanic/automotive machinist, and all around good guy
(and you can call home-n-ask my wife)
my wife and I have always canned our own veggies from our garden, we rarely have store bought bread, (only when we are so busy we cant bake it our selves) we make our own jerky, breakfast sausage, among other things.
we are of the mind that if things go wrong and you can't make it you aint gonna have it. So that said, a few months ago we were making my favorite Greek salad, it calls for Feta but we prefer a blue or Gorgonzola, It was my choice of cheese so went to buy some and saw the price, of course I bought what I wanted but when I got home it came to mind, how can I make my own cheese, my new quest had begun.
I have had a few cheese failures but weren't cuz we ate them anyway and are still here
I have a Stilton type ageing right now and I am sure I will need advice and will appreciate any I can get.
Nice to find such an informative Forum and am enjoying the input and learned knowledge that is accumulated here.
So i will leave it at that and I do hope to make friends LATER, H-K-J
