Cream, Whipping, Store Bought - With Seaweed Carrageenan
« on: April 14, 2012, 05:28:17 PM »
 >:( thought I would make a double cream brie today.....  cream had carrageenan in it. Warning, do not use this.  The curd will not set.  I only used two cups to 2 gallons minus two cups of whole milk (exp date of 4/26).  No curd, nada.  I wish I could buy cream without crap in it from the local grocery store.  I guess next time I will have to drive 2 hours to the city to get something decent.  Oh well, started over with just whole milk.

What were buying is really not cream but "whipping cream" which is an industiralized product which no consumer really asked for.
