Can I make mother cultures of all bacteria? Specifically Propionibacteria, PC, Geo. and PLA.
If so do I follow the same procedure as Meso and Thermo?

QuotePC,
Is not a bacterium.

QuoteGeo.
Is not a bacterium
Quoteand PLA.
Is a mixed-organism culture, containing more than bacteria.

no, each type of organism requires its own environment to thrive. For example, if you took a human and put the human in water, the human would die. Same thing (analogously) happens when you take, say, PC, and try to culture it in milk. PC needs high air exchange, new O2, and a different substrate (food source) than lactic bacteria.
