I'm from Oregon too!
-
Yay for Oregon! I'm here representing the fine town of Coburg, just a couple miles north of Eugene.
-
Oregon is one of those states that I actually want to visit, but haven't yet. I have gotten as close as Eureka CA to the south and Mt St Helens to the north.
But not Oregon itself. I love the northwest.

Wayne, agree, spent Xmas 2006 & 2007 holidays on Oregon Coast @ Depoe Bay area between Lincoln City & Newport, great area. My folks also took me on many winter holidays there when I was a kid growing up in Vancouver BC. Used to stay here (http://www.innatottercrest.com/), bit run down now.

I'm in Hillsboro, OR just a few minutes outside of Portland.
Raw milk is hard to come by here!

I was in OR a few months ago...my dad moved close to Willamette (from Washington). Oregon has always been a second home to me, as my grandparents lived in Veneta & brother moved to Portland...it wasn't that long of a drive from Tacoma. I do wish I was still back there, though...I miss the Northwest!

Brian: this is off topic, but in reference to your avatar, can you really play the pipes while riding? I had a hard enough time learning to march in step while playing!

I'm in Oakridge Oregon. One stoplight, I love it. 10 minutes to great spring Morals and fall Hedgehogs. 100 yards to native cutthroat trout.
Knoal, You can get raw milk and cheese making stuff at Kookoolan farms in Yamhil.

I'm in Corvallis. Sometimes I have extra Jersey milk. :)

I wish the Oregon folks piped up when I'd lived in Fall Creek, we could have had a decent sized club. Well, I guess you still could, but I'll be missing out!

Since that post, I spent 6 weeks in the Willamette Valley. Specifically Dundee, Newberg, and Carlton.
The Pinot Noir there was ridiculously good. (and plentiful) What kills me, is how much of the local micr-vinted wine never leaves the valley.
This is probably the dumbest video I've ever posted to youtube, but its just a drive north out of Newberg, up to the top of Rex Hill, and around. newberg Oregon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29VK_VTJubE#)

Ooh ooh! Been down that way a few times, Wayne. Hoping to visit the folks mid-summer. And do some coast driving, too...Astoria is one of my favorite places, too. We're hoping we will have some time to drive all the way up to Tofino (BC)...keeping fingers & toes crossed. Will have to do some tough negotiations with the boss, but hoping for the best!
Thanks for the vid! :D
