Post by: KTownCheese on February 13, 2013, 04:01:26 PM
Hey folks, Im new to the forum and the cheese making world in general.

so far Ive successfully made ricotta, mozzarella, edam, cheddar, american brick and am currently working on an asiago with peppercorns.
I mostly use 2% pasteurized but am hoping to delve into using pasteurized whole milk from a local creamery.

Any folks on here form Canada?

Cheers
Albert

Yup :) hello from the 'middle of nowhere' (Saskatchewan)

I actually went to Queen's University for 2 years - Kingston was a beautiful town!

Hi Albert,
Glad to  have you on board! I live close to Newmarket and have been cheese making for about 2 years. Am loving it and so enjoy coming onto this forum to learn more and meet folks.
Sounds like you are off to a pretty good start with your varieties.
Hope you enjoy this forum too!

Thanks for the warm welcome!  Kingston definitely is a beautiful town.

Shotski, I am a few hours away from glengarry but I order all of my stuff from them.  So far I have been very pleased with their bacterias and equipment.
