Post by: wharris on May 11, 2009, 12:27:26 AM
I have a new table i intend to use to hoop cheese.
Please ignore the dirty sink underneath.

This was a stainless steel surgical table (http://www.phelanmfgcorp.com/Phelan%20Manufacturing%20Straddle%20Instrument%20Table.htm).

Hi John,
Nice table, but I would have been better off if you hadn't revealed what it's original purpose was...LOL!  :o

Yeah, thanks Wayne. LOL. The cheese bone is connected to the mold bone, the penicillium bone is connected to the roquefort bone....

Wayne, looks good but where will the whey drain to?

Also, I don't see how they would operate through a table . . .

I think the table was used to hold all the tools of the trade.  Scapels and such

I bought it because its a very sturdy table. I could sit on it without worry, and its a SS top.

From a draining perspective, I am still working that through.  I think I may just put a strip of extra baseboard moulding under one set of wheels to give it a slight bit of an incline to one side. Then I could simple drain into sink or something.

I'm still working that out.

My plan is to use this for hooping and flipping.

Wayne, might I suggest not spraying down the entire scene..or I mean newly acquired cheesemaking appliances with Luminol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminol)?  Especially if you by chance happen to have a black light handy!  Might just be more information then you care to see.  Otherwise... :)  Great find!  (sorry might not hear the end of this!) ;D ;D
