I just wanted to start this string for those to offer great online stores for buying things like Calcium Chloride and so on.
I'm actually looking for other trusted sources for Calcium Chloride so if you do know, please let me know. Right now my only source is www.leeners.com (http://www.leeners.com). there a great source but I am not happy with the cost of shipping when simply ordering a small amount which is why it would be great to have a location that lists alternatives.
The calcium chloride is a 30% solution from Leeners and it works great. Are there other sources where you can get the same exact thing at a 30% mixture? or do you recommend a different process?

You can buy powdered and mix your own. I get it at the brew/wine supply store.

I get calcium chloride at my local Ace Hardware in the canning section. My local supermarket carries it, too, during summer. It is also sold as Pickle Crisp.

This is what I do. My father was a chemist, so I can get whatever chemicals I need. This comes in handy because i also to metal plating and anodize aluminum.

pool water hardener wouldn't be food grade, though, would it?
for instance, the diatomaceous earth used for pool filters is totally not food grade, and also dangerous for use on chickens. however, food grade DE is used quite often to help fight against parasites for chickens, vegetables, etc.
