Title: 2 moulds in one press
Post by: Revector on September 28, 2013, 08:49:32 PM
Hi there,

Sorry if this has already been answered but I could not find it using search.

I have a spring based cheesed press that could hold 2 small cheese moulds. I would be interested in pressing 2 2lbs cheddar at the same time. Can that be done? and would I just double the pressure listed in the recipe? so if the final press says 50 lbs would I press at 100lbs? or is it not that simple?

Any help you could provide would be appreciated?

If you stack the molds, use the same weight as you would for one mold. If they are side by side, then double the weight. Don't know how you would do side by side in a spring press.
