Is the a retail place that sells flake salt? Wal-mart maybe? I never shop there but I know they carry rennet so maybe....

Hello Wendy and welcome to the forum. I must say how lucky you are that you never shop. I hate have to go shopping.
I'm not sure where you would find flake salt, but I know that I can source it at the local supermarket here. Also I can get bulk bags of salt from the stock feed company, and then again I can also source some from the local wholesale butcher. Sadly rennent is something that I have to get from a speciality shop down south. I can't buy that locally, so you are lucky that you can.
So I would think any three of those would be worth following up.

Hi breezy2, sorry can't remember where you live but as you said WalMart I assume USA, Canada, or Mexico.
Here in Houston I haven't found it in Kroger, HEB or WalMart grocery stores, Whole Foods Grocery stores may have it . . . of course you could always buy from a web based Cheese Making Supply store, I've listed ones that I've found here (http://cheeseforum.org/Links/Stores_Cheese_Making_Supplies.htm).
Question, I've never seen rennet in WalMart, where in the store is it?
