Title: First Gouda
Post by: Brian on February 28, 2009, 07:32:06 PM
I made this with store bought milk last November.

I'm not really impressed with the taste.  The texture is good, but I get that acidic taste a lot more than the Farmhouse I made last January.  I'm hoping it's because it needs to age more than 3 months.

OK
My wife tried it.  And she loves it!
She is the Gouda eater and she say's it tastes like Gouda.  Real rich and firm.

OK, guess I'll make more.  The wedge I cut off is now in the smoker along with some baby backs I have going.  We'll see how well it smokes.
