Title: New Board Kickoff Post
Post by: Webmaster on August 06, 2008, 03:55:06 AM
I've noticed that several Users have joined who raise goats and have no place to discuss their issues on feeding, raising, milking and caring for their animals, thus this new board.

I hope it's useful!

Thanks Tea.

In another thread you mentioned that you and husband had at one time raised 400 goats, you are an amazing woman! I assume that was before your cheese making days otherwise you'd be in commercial cheese making range.

Oh John, please don't give me any ticket I don't deserve  :-[

Yes that was way before I even thought of making cheese, and I could kick myself now, because we even had a milker which gave us heaps of milk every day.  But the kids were little and that was nearly 20 years ago.
We ran meat goats to start with, and then we sold them and ran about 200 stud angora's.  Now they were beautiful.  Aahhh the mad old days.   :D
