Title: Cutting Cheese - Double Handled Knives
Post by: wharris on September 15, 2009, 01:21:49 AM
My wife used to work at a Hickory Farms store in her youth.
They used wire cutters only for the softer and/or younger cheeses.  But not so much for the bigger, harder cheeses.

For the bigger and harder cheeses, she used a big double handled knife like this.

Wayne,
Where'd you get that picture of the double handled knife? Is it for sale somewhere? I gotta get me one of those! My double handled pizza cutter is about ready to bite the dust.

You can get cheese knives at www.bintzsupply.com (http://). I found two for sale there, one for $75 and one for $65:

Thanks Squirrel! I also found them at Amazon. The site you gave had a better price though. Looks like Bintz has a lot of nice stuff.
