Howdy, yall, haven't posted in a LONG time, but thought I'd post a pic of a double stainless cheese press I just finished for a board member.
Enjoy.

That is a thing of beauty!
Great work!

Howdy Carter, completely agree, gorgeous, just for perspective, what diameter and height hoops while it press and what force/pressure can be applied?
-
I gots to have one.

Really sweet!

The platens are 17" x 17" each and can provide up to 1750 lbs. of force, that is if you have an air source that can go up to 250 PSI. Normal compressors can do 145 so 1015 lbs. Height is about 13 from platen to bottom of the Ram. It all food grade HDPE and Stainless tubing 2" x 2" with a wall thickness of 3/16". Sorry the pic was so crappy but the sun was high.

Ok, so we're all impressed.. (I know I am!)
How much $$ are we talkin' here? >:D

Well as this one was for a customer I'd rather not say, but you can infer. My small 8" press goes for $500 and that's not a stainless frame and this is a double one, so it's pricey, but compared to what else is out there it's the deal of a lifetime.

I cannot wait for it to arrive in the mail this week. ;D Yes I am the member getting this baby! Need this to go with my cheese vat that went in on Monday of last week.
I made 38 pounds of cheese this weekend, but having this press will make my life much easier. ;D
