Title: Removing Inner Plastic Ring from Form
Post by: Milk Maid on July 20, 2013, 04:31:39 PM
Does anyone have advice on how to remove the inner ring of a plastic specialty pressed cheese form such as this one for Manchego (http://www.fromagex.com/usa/english/moulds/pressed/manchego-mould-o-110mm-1296 (http://www.fromagex.com/usa/english/moulds/pressed/manchego-mould-o-110mm-1296))?

Teeth, pliers, oil drops and swear words aren't working.

It just slides out IIRC. Invert, rubber mallet tap, finish?

Did you try immersing in hot water , as a mechanic , I use Heat all the time for pulling tight bearings or bushings from shafts or inner bosses.

You never know , it might work on plastic as well.
