Title: Easy, cheap and effective way to calibrate ALL types of hygrometers
Post by: Spoons on December 08, 2013, 02:42:54 AM
I have 2 hygrometers with totally different readings. I just found out that you can easily calibrate a hygrometer with nothing more than a bit of salt, distilled water and a ziplock back. Check out the video.

After this test, one of my hygrometers was 6% lower than 75% and the other one was a whopping 14% lower. I threw out that one.

Now that I know about this test, I decided to buy the most popular hygrometer cigar aficionados recommend. It's only about $15 USD, and you can easily calibrate it for accurate readings using the salt test mentionned above.
