Hi- I'm looking for sources of fresh sheep and goat milk in the Hudson Valley area of the state. Does anyone know of any sources?

Don't know if it's in Hudson Valley but member Steff just posted in Wanted/For Sale Board (http://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,5462.0.html) that she sells raw goat's milk in NY state.

Try Udder co-op. I live in NYC and use them. They have raw goats, cow and sheep milk. It is expensive but they deliver it to you. I used them for my raw milk Tomme.  I couldn't get to the bottom of what farm the milk came from and who is the farmer or what is the feed so I stopped using them for now. Easier with their sheep's milk but it's very expensive, I think $19/Gal

Just remember the milk from them has not been tested for anything. No legal raw milk dairy in NY would be willing to loose their license for shipping raw milk.
Why not contact the Dept of Agriculture. They can direct you to a sheep milk farm.

Thanks Steff- I took a look but it is a little too far for an economical trip. I live in Wallkill...
