Title: Looking for cheese forms
Post by: Leanu on February 23, 2012, 08:59:02 PM
Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that I could buy round cheese forms with curved edges.  I would like to make 7-10 lb cheese wheels, and haven't been able to locate these types of forms.  I have seen a lot of straight sided round moulds, though.

Thanks in advance -

Leanu

Kadova brand molds have rounded edges and are really nice but very expensive, especially when you go to the larger sizes. Lots of on-line stores (http://cheeseforum.org/articles/links/links-supply-stores/) stock them, The Cheese Mould Shop (http://www.thecheesemouldshop.com/en/) in The Netherlands has good pictures of them.

You can also buy similar 500 gram molds without the netting installed from Margaret Morris at Glengarry Cheese here (W49)

Thanks Boofer!

Leanu - I can probably get you any cheese form you wish for... I would need to know what type/style of cheese this is because the patterns, proportions, draining speed and material thickness make a big difference. Let me know. We will get you what you need.
