Title: Wine Coolers As Cheese Caves
Post by: SalMac on September 19, 2008, 09:42:55 PM
I've been looking at wine coolers and was wondering if anyone has any experience of these?

There is the wider temperature range, some have some form of humidity control (although i think the range is lower than is optimum for cheeses ie 70% and I havent found one that says explicitly there is a humidity setting dial) and fan circulated air systems. Some have dual climate zones etc, some have heaters.

There are some good deals on ebay, if you can afford shipping or local pickup.

Anyone got any gotchas or cautions to look out for?

Thanx

Sal

Hi Sal, the greater temp range was the reason that I was looking at a wine fridge.  Humidity control of some sort would be a bonus I think.

So I'm with Sal, any advice either way, would be much appreciated.
