Title: Stilton - From British Harrods Store
Post by: Cheese Head on February 12, 2010, 10:17:15 AM
Visited my folks in Vancouver last week, for desert we had cracker's, apple's and Stilton cheese from Airport outlet of famous upmarket British store called Harrods that visiting friend bought them.

Most expensive cheese I've ever eaten at GBP24 for 0.55 kg. They said initially it had cellophane cover beneath the crock lid, that the cheese was originally a cylinder, so it must have been cut from a wheel(?), and that the cheese had been crumblier than in picture below.

It was very nice and strong, probably as past best by date of 2 months ago, but nothing better than Stilton I could buy off shelf here, nice container though.

Looks like it was enjoyed.
